Lecturer in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at University of Pittsburgh invites applications for two non-tenure stream Lecturers to begin in the Fall Term 2017, pending budgetary approval. The initial appointment is for 3 years and the positions are renewable.  A Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences or a closely related discipline is required.  We seek excellence in teaching. For one of the positions, applicants with experience related to actuarial math are particularly encouraged to apply. Send a vita, three letters of recommendation, and a teaching portfolio including a statement of teaching philosophy, sample course syllabi and assignments, and evaluations of teaching by students or supervisors, electronically through http://www.mathjobs.org.
