Abstract:
We will prove a generalization of Browder's and Opial's famous demiclosedness principles.
In particular, we will show that these principles can be extended from the class of
nonexpansive mappings to the class of mean nonexpansive mappings.
An application regarding weak convergence to a fixed point will also be presented if time allows.
