Abstract or Additional Information
This past summer, I let my Calculus 2 students decide how they were going to be evaluated. Some focused on quizzes, exams, and online homework. Some solved difficult practice problems and presented solutions in the recitations. Some completed projects, whether from the textbook or of their own invention. I will explain why and how I did this, and the lessons I’ve learned from giving my students more ways to put their education in their own hands.
