Abstract or Additional Information
We will finish addressing the question: ``Does more information make a difference?" by comparing two classes of discrete population models, where one model incorporates more information of the model parameters.
We then extend the derivation of these discrete population models and incorporate delay in the growth process. This results in a class of population models that exhibit realistic behavior as populations go extinct if the delay exceeds a model specific, critical delay threshold. We conclude with related open problems of discrete delay population models.
