Abstract: The p-adic numbers are a particular completion of the rational numbers that has applications to number theory. Unlike the reals, they do not have a nice topology, but one can still do geometry over them. In this talk, we will discuss a notion of line integrals, due to Coleman, on algebraic curves over the p-adic numbers and some of its number-theoretic consequences
