Abstract or Additional Information
Many circuits in the brain produce repetitive, multi-phase activity patterns. There are several simplified mathematical frameworks that researchers use to model these circuits, and there is a need for work to compare these frameworks. In this talk, I will introduce three such model classes and will consider how they respond to modulation of the strength of an input signal. I will also introduce the local timing response function, which provides a useful tool for this analysis.
