Mariya Savinov, a dual math and physics major, received a $1500 NASA Space Grant Fellowship to continue work on a research project with Prof. David Swigon and Prof. Bard Ermentrout on oscillators with flexible frequencies.

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Physics and Astronomy received funding from the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium to support undergraduate research. Several undergraduate scholarships of $1500 each will be awarded in the spring semester (2018). Students that received the award are asked to present the results of their research in a public forum.  The goal of the NASA Space Grant program is to encourage students to enter science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.
