Weak Solutions to Compressible Navier-Stokes

I will give an overview of the global existence theory for weak solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The main goal is to introduce the basic Lions and Feireisl's theory and the connections with renormalized solutions and the well posedness theory for advection equations. I will nally reviewsome remaining open questions around the nite time stability vs thermodynamical stability of the compressible Navier-Stokes system.
