Some Connections between Phase Transition Equations and Fluid Dynamics Equations

I will discuss some connections between phase transition equations, such as those modeling superconductors and supefluids, and fluid dynamics equations. These connections arise when there are asymptotically large numbers of defects and are related to point vortex methods for vortex sheets.
