Hodge theory and Cohomology of varieties

Smooth varieties are manifolds, so it makes sense to study differential forms and cycles on these varieties. Hodge theory is the study of cycles on smooth projective varieties. Calculations in Hodge theory are main computational examples in complex algebraic geometry.
